Abstract

This issue of «Scritture Migranti» aims to explore trap in all its complexity, both as a cultural form and as a space for identity negotiation, paying particular attention to the intersections between centers and peripheries, local and global, aesthetics and politics. Through articles ranging from linguistics to anthropology, from ethnomusicology to sociology, we have attempted to reconstruct a prism within which the richness and complexity of trap music can emerge in their variety and specificity, revealing a new and still understudied aspect (at the university level) of migrant cultural productions.
