Call for Papers Scritture Migranti 2023
CFP - Scritture migranti, n° 17 (2023)
For publication in n° 17 (2023), we are interested in receiving contributions aimed at a theoretical and/or thematic survey of current issues being addressed by Migration Studies. In particular, we welcome contributions that deal with one of the following areas:
- the memory of migration in its collective and identity dimensions, in present and past historical periods;
- the representation of the reception and integration process of migrants in the socio-cultural context;
- the artistic-literary representation (texts, icontexts, audio-visual arts, performance, theater, etc.) of migratory phenomena, which can range from monographic studies dedicated to single authors to a comparative study between different authors or media;
- the critique and reaction of migration-themed literature and arts to the ideological and linguistic structures of national mass media;
- a reflection on literary forms and genres that are proving particularly receptive to migrant literature (e.g., investigative fiction);
- rereadings of canonical essays belonging to Migration Studies;
- representation of the transformations of places in response to the reception and integration of migrants.
