From the time of its origins, cinema has dedicated special attention to those who migrate. In the last thirty years, the filmic images return the material of migratory processes in its great complexity, social, historical, anthropological, existential. The essay elaborates a perspective of analysis of the relationship between cinema and migration and, in particular, identifies three models of filmic narration that have particular significance in cinema and fiction of the last twenty years.
